VEHICLE RECYCLING
Here you can recycle cars and trucks, buses and other vehicles. We provide export and processing using the most modern equipment in the Baltic States. We provide free deregistration of cars, trucks up to 3.5 tons, tricycles and quadricycles.
If the vehicle does not become collectible, there comes a time when it is necessary to find a way to get rid of it. Traffic regulations prohibit long-term placing of vehicles on the road (see CSN 118. art.). It is also unacceptable to carry out an independent dismantling of the vehicle for parts, if as a result of these actions hazardous waste may remain (see LAPK 75.4. art.).
End-of-life vehicles are cars and trucks up to 3.5 tons, tricycles and quadricycles, which the owner decided or had to refuse. Article 6 of the "End-of Life Vehicles Management Law" provides for the obligation for owners to hand over used vehicles only to processing enterprises (Read more). What happens next?
After the vehicle is delivered to the receiving point, the process of its treatment begins. At the beginning, the vehicle is cleaned of hazardous materials, after which a process of pre-treatment is carried out, during which liquid materials are separated. The remaining part of the vehicle is transferred to the grinding, in which liquid and illiquid materials are obtained. Liquid materials (non-ferrous and ferrous scrap) are returned to production chains, and illiquid materials are recycled in various ways.
On average, in the vehicle more than a hundred different types of materials. From the point of view of recycling, the utilizing of vehicles is still a big technological challenge. Therefore, it is important to recycle vehicles at professionals.
Due to its location and modern equipment, the company SIA “Auto pārstrāde” provides the most efficient processing of end-of-life vehicles and scrap metal. SIA “Auto pārstrāde” is located at Riga, Granita 13A, where SIA “Tolmets” has installed the most powerful shredding complex in the Baltic States (shredder), which is used to process end-of-life vehicles and scrap metal. This complex optimally prepares scrap for further processing. The shredder is essentially a mill in which the scrap metal is ground to small fragments. On the automated sorting line, the already crushed materials are sorted into categories: ferrous and non-ferrous metals are separated, as well as illiquid materials.
